The other thing that they can do with this is funnel it to other departments of the police unit. This would then give back to the community which is the ultimate goal. When this happens, this gives the police the resources they need to employ more and get more vehicles and other things that they might need.
Whether you find it right or wrong, many see the up side to this. Many other communities are instilling this practice as hard economic times befall them. You too will see what difference it can make as a community comes together after they have been terrorized by the people who are from that community as well.
